Biography

PD Dr. med. Johann-Martin Hempel is a radiology specialist. He is an expert in the fields of neuroradiology and head and neck radiology.

After completing his medical studies at the Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz in 2009, including a year abroad at the Université Paris VI “Pierre et Marie Curie”, he worked at the Department of Otorhinolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery at the University Medical Centre Mainz.

He then spent the years from 2011 to 2014 at the Clinic and Polyclinic for Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology at the University Medical Center Mainz before finally moving to the Department of Diagnostic and Interventional Neuroradiology at the University Hospital of the Eberhard Karls University in Tübingen. There, he successfully passed his specialist examination in radiology in 2016 and received recognition of the specialist title of neuroradiology in 2019. He habilitated in 2020 and received the authorisation to teach the subject of radiology.

Since 2018, Johann-Martin Hempel has been working as a freelance teleradiologist.
